Do you ever feel like you’re being left alone, like the Lord has abandoned you, or nobody seems to care or notice what you’re going through? Well, today I want to show you that there is someone who cares, and the Lord has not abandoned you.
Welcome back to the Ministry Corner. Today I want to talk to you about what you can do when it feels like you’re all alone, when you’re experiencing loneliness and wondering where God is in your life, wondering where all the good times have gone or where you’re going right now.
Perhaps you’re feeling aimless. Perhaps you’re feeling like God has just abandoned you. There were so many good times before in your life.
There were so many times where you felt presence of God. Perhaps you spent years working for the Lord and experiencing His presence, but now it seems like you’re just alone, like everyone around you has just abandoned you, including the Lord. Well, the Lord has not abandoned you.
He is still there, and He watches over you, and He sees what you’re going through, and He sees everything that you are facing and the cries of your heart, and they’re not lost on Him. I want to read you a scripture I saw in my daily readings today from Psalms. Psalms chapter 33 and verse 18 says, Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear Him, upon those that hope in His mercy.
Where have you put your hope in right now? What pictures are you putting in your mind? What are you seeing? Are you seeing the things around you, your current situation, what you’re facing right now in your life, perhaps the people around you who are opposing you? Maybe because there’s no one around you now, and you started feeling alone now, and you started feeling like God’s abandoned you because of that. Well, God never abandoned you, because God is not like the people around you. But when you see those pictures around you, when you see the people around you not caring like you think they should, when perhaps you’re living alone, and you no longer are around people, you start to lose your hope.
Well, your hope must be in the Lord. Your hope has to be in the Lord alone, and in His mercy, and in His grace, because you see, He never abandons us. He never leaves us.
He is always there. His eye is continually upon you, and is continually focused on you. And you know, when you feel like no one cares, you can know that someone has seen everything.
In fact, He has seen more than you even know, because He sees deep into your heart. He sees deep into what you are facing right now. And you know you are not alone, because you are part of the body of Christ.
You are part of a body that is together, and that should be helping each other. And you should be able to go to fellow believers, if nothing else, and get some comfort and encouragement. And if nothing else, today, I want to be here for you to encourage you, and to be that comfort, and that encouragement when you are facing this, because you see God has not abandoned you.
And you know, even if it feels like it, you are a part of the body of Christ. And when you are a part of the body of Christ, God sees you. God sees your cares.
You know, some parts of the body, you see all the time. Every day when you get up, perhaps you look in the mirror, you see the face, you see your hands, and you see your body. And you know, you recognize that it’s a part of you.
You recognize that it’s there. And sure, there are some parts that maybe you don’t think about often. Parts that you don’t care about as much, or don’t pay as much attention to.
You know, if you’re the pinky toe on the bottom of the foot, maybe you’re never seen. Maybe you’re hidden away. But you have a purpose in the body of Christ, and God has a purpose for you.
And I want to tell you today that God sees you, and what you are going through. But you need to put your hope and your trust in Him. Perhaps for a time, God has moved you into a place where you are hidden away, where nobody sees you.
Perhaps there’s a purpose in this time that you are going through. You need to put your trust in the Lord, and trust that He sees what you are facing, and that He knows what you are going through.
The Lord says to you now,
“My child, I have not abandoned you. I have not let you go down this path for no reason. I have not let you stray off into the wilderness for no reason. For I have a clear path and a purpose for you.
I have a clear goal in mind that I have for you, that you are going towards. And though you have now begun to walk in circles and stumble around, thinking that you have no goal or purpose anymore, know that my plan and my purpose for you has not changed. Know that you can get back to the place that I had for you.
Know that you can get back on that path that I have for you, and that I have set before you. But you must set your eyes on me once again. You must set your eyes once again, and your hope on me.
For when you do that, you will open the door for me to move on your life, for me to open the way once again for you to get moving, for you to get back on the path that I have set for you. And when you take the time now to wait on me and set your eyes on me, and once again trust that I am in control, even when things seem out of control, you will see the way begin to open before you. You will see the dry ground begin to come to life, and a path will become clear before you once again.
For I will not keep you in this time of aimlessness forever, says the Lord. I will lead you into the path that I have for you, but you must trust in me. You must trust that I have everything in control, and you must submit to me once again, and you will begin to see the way opening before you, and you will begin to see new life and new joy come into your life.
I will bring to you the people that you need in your life. I will bring to you everything that you need to live a fulfilled life, and to not only live a fulfilled life, but experience the calling that I have placed on your life, says the Lord.”
Perhaps you have experienced a loss of vision or a loss of what God wants for you, or God has shown pretty clearly that he has not lost vision for you.
Your vision is still clear, and you will see it when you begin to move back into that place of waiting on the Lord and spending time with him, of putting your trust in him. You know there is a rest when you put your trust in the Lord. There should be a rest.
When you are sometimes going through these phases where it seems like you’re alone and you’ve lost all your vision, you know the hardest thing about that is you will always get that feeling of pushing. You’ll get that feeling, you know, everybody tells you, you need to push. You need to go forward.
You need to just push past this depression and make things happen. Yes, there is a certain degree of that where you have to make a choice now. You need to make a choice now to step back into that place of trusting in the Lord.
You need to make a choice to get moving again. You cannot sit stagnant. But at the same time, that constant drive and that constant pressure to get going that is pushing you forward, it just makes you want to give up more sometimes.
Sometimes you think it’s just too much effort. I’ve made the effort before. I’ve tried, but I can’t do it.
That is why you must rest in the Lord. That is why you must trust in Him and know that He is in control. Because when you do that, peace comes inside.
A peace comes where you know, doesn’t matter if I do anything now because God is in control. And when you have that peace and that assurance and you’re in that place now where you know He’s in control, even though everything seems to be falling apart around you, then you can take a step out now in faith because you have that peace and assurance. And then you know that whatever step you take will lead to something, will lead to something good for you.
God has not abandoned you. He has His eye on you now. Don’t forget that.
Keep putting your trust in Him and know that as you go forward, you will experience all the blessing that He has for you today.
