Keep Speaking

Sometimes it seems like no matter how hard you try to work for the Lord or do what He tells you, there is always something blocking you.

Maybe it feels like you are in a dark room and the lights are off, so you cannot see where you are walking. You have to feel your way.

In your spiritual life it can feel this way often. But it is not the Lord that puts you through it. It is just the enemy trying his best to stop you. And the Lord knew that the enemy would try this. 

The Scripture says:

Psalms 119:105 Your word [is] a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. (GBMV)

The Lord wants to light the way and lead you through. He did not bring the darkness into your life. He wants to show you clearly where to go. He also said:

John 8:12 I am the light of the world: he that follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of [zoe] life. (GBMV)

So why does it seem so often that you are facing dark times?

Because that is what the enemy wants you to think. He tries very hard to make you think that you are alone in the dark and that the Lord has left you there.

But you have a powerful weapon that can shine the light – You have the word of God!

So when the enemy comes and tries to make you think that all is lost, speak the Word. When he makes you think that the Lord will not provide your needs, you show him the Word.

Philippians 4:19 But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus. (GBMV)

Maybe you are feeling right now like the Lord has left you all alone. Or He has not moved in your life as you had hoped.

Don’t let the enemy take away the blessing that the Lord has for you. Remind him that your God is able and can do anything.

Even Jesus had to do this when the devil tried to tempt Him. When the devil tried his tricks, Jesus simply spoke the Word back at him.

No matter how much things seem dark, just keep speaking and trusting in the Lord. Because the enemy hopes that you will stop when he blocks you. 

But when you start to speak the Word, he becomes very afraid. Because he knows that there is power in the Word. And he knows that if you truly believe what God has promised, that he will no longer be able to do anything.

There is no darkness too great for the Lord to overcome

You will see the light begin to shine in the darkness. And that darkness will be pushed back to where it came from.
