How God Builds You Up In Business

I want to share with you an experience I had in business. Now I started in business at a young age. I was not even a teen yet when my dad gave me my first job. It was simple – I had to help make products for our publishing company. All I had to do was put the master tape into the Duplicator, and then put an empty tape in the other slot.

Now they both had to go in the exact right slot, or there could be a problem. But like any young guy, I didn’t pay too much attention and I just slapped them on, and got back to my comic book.

But then one day I put the tapes the wrong way around and erased the master tape. Fortunately it could be fixed, but I was devastated, I had failed, and I felt like giving up after one mistake. Little did I know God was preparing me for my business call way back there already.

But I was given another chance, and in time I was given more responsibility, and I eventually became the manager of all production in that company, but I had to be diligent, keep moving. God made me part of a team, and I play my role in that team, but sometimes it was hard. I had to face pressure, and I always had the feeling that I was inferior to others in the team or that they always did such wonderful things, but me, oh I just make the books.

Well I think they’re pretty good books. And I can do more then make books, because there’s one thing I’ve learned in business, God always pushes you higher. Sometimes it can seem like he’s calling you to death, when things don’t go the way you planned. Or every skill you have is not working anymore. But as Apostle Les always says, “What use are you dead?”

What is happening is God is challenging those things in you that need to get better, so that you can do so much more. He wants to see you rise up. He wants to make your business prosper. If you stay at the same level, your business cannot rise up and grow. For some people it may seem like too much pressure to face, but just because God is pushing you to rise up higher does not mean he will not help you.

You can tap into his anointing and his power any time, because he can give you supernatural ability, and he can help you through the hard times. This is what is great about the business call. God will raise up your natural strengths, but at the same time he will turn your weaknesses into strengths. And to top it off, you can tap into his anointing.

Teams Are Important

As Apostle Daphne Crause said in her blog “The Relay Race of BUsiness”, it’s important to work in a team in business. As a team you can grow, and you will still have your role in the team that is unique to you and, you can cover each other’s weaknesses. But eventually God may lead you to get better at something else, and then you and your teammate can both do that. Then God can use both of you to bring growth to your business in that area.

The amazing thing is, not only does He raise you up in business, but He builds up your personal life, and brings you to the place where you’re confident in what He’s put in you whether you’re on the job or not. If you get excited enough about something and want to do it bad enough, He will not hold it back from you.

Parting words

This has been my experience in business. And I believe God wants you to prosper in more ways than just wealth, he wants you to prosper in health, and in every part of your life.
