The Lord Delights in You

The Lord Delights in You

Recently when I was reading the word I came across this scripture and the Lord spoke to me.

Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD [Yahweh]; and he will give you the desires of your heart. (GBMV)

What does it mean to delight?

Sometimes I get so busy working that I think I am doing enough for the Lord. There are many things to do, even things that do not involve ministry. I work on making videos for our website and I work on many technical things behind the scenes. I am tempted to think that this is enough and I am working for the Lord.

But if there is no joy in what you are doing then why are you doing it?

The Lord wants us to delight in what we are doing, no matter what it is.

The Lord Delights in us

There is more than just what we do for the Lord, because the Lord also delights in us. He is filled with joy when He sees us happy and fulfilled. But if we do not want this then He does not give it to us.

He stands waiting right now to give you the desires of you heart. He waits to reach out and give you His joy. But it is up to you to reach out to Him and receive it.

As I write this I see that there are many who want this. You have been going for a long time, perhaps even working full time for the Lord, and it seems that you have lost that joy. You no longer see any delight in Him.

You have even tried to reach out and receive that joy again. You have tried in your own efforts to overcome.

The Lord says,

—-

All that you need to do is reach out to me now my child. I am the one who will provide for you. I am the one who will lift you out of the dust and set you on high. For the enemy has put a great weight on you and it has slowed you down. Stop now and look to me my child and know that I am here to lift it from you.

I never put this upon you and I never mean to slow you down. I only stand ready to remove it from you now.

Lift up your voice to me and let me fill you with that joy once again. Let me give you what you need to press on. And as you do this you will find a new strength in everything you do. You will feel a new joy rising up inside. And no matter what you do you will see me there with you.

So hold your hands out to me my child and know that I will not leave you, I will fulfill my promise to you. And you will rise up in victory ready to face the world once again.

Amen
